Icon of Geekyness
it's not a huge deal in any sense, but i changed my avatar from the creepy, smiling dude to an image of "Piggy", played by Danuel Pipoly in the 1990 version of Lord of the Flies.
If there was ever a contest for the top geek icon, then Piggy would be right up there at the top.
If you've seen the movie and didn't feel at all bad for Piggy, then you truly deserve to spend eternity in wedgie hell for being so cold-hearted. Growing up as the overweight, geeky, red-headed kid with glasses causes me to react pretty strongly to a character like Piggy.
You just go ahead and watch the uTube video snippet of Piggy's cruel end, and i DARE you to not feel the misery of human suffering unfold before your eyes. Poor, poor Piggy.

ahhhh... never mind. i changed it to a red Swingline stapler for obvious reasons. But this still doesn't take anything away from the horrors of Piggy's demise.

The stapler probably says more. I really admire it in fact.
All the characters in Lord of the Flies are written to explain the crappiness of humanity - it was I guess, the George Orwells 1984 - or was it 1948 - of its day.
Does this mean you are a red head then? With or without a conch shell?
