Hello. I was asked to change my High school's web page and i am stumped. im not that creative of a person and was wondering if anyone could throw random ideas at me.

its for the teachers page. if ya google search citrus h.s you can c the newest look for it. what our class is trying to do is some how 1 up it and make it better. thats all the teacher said.

You could use a free template with external CSS, but if you know any XHTML/CSS, you may want to code from scratch. The code of most older sites is for the most part garbage and should be replaced if possible.

I took a look at the following pages:

and they look pretty good to me. As far as graphics, I don't really think you can do much better than this one:

If you want to improve on the graphics alone, you will want to maybe implement a carousel like this one:

The people who did the existing graphics are probably just using image maps which are kind of old school. The above carousel uses some nifty open-source/free JavaScript and the page will look more dynamic. Each slide would be devoted to a particular subject (e.g., math, English, PE, etc.). I would suggest going more dynamic using either Flash or JavaScript (source code easily found on-line).
