Are Freelance Web Types Feeling The Economic Pinch?

i know it's still pretty early in this whole economic crunch/crisis/panic, but i'm curious what the freelance people are thinking/feeling. i know even those of us with full-time gigs aren't necessarily safe from the chopping block and subsequent bread lines, but this whole thing might touch the freelancers first.

How do you think the current mess will effect the web industry? Any thoughts? Rants? (Editorial Note: Please don't bring politics into this. While it does play a part, i'd like to keep this place as political-free as possible.)

I own my firm and to be honest, I've picked up business. I think people are trying to save money and web site design and ads are cheaper than print and reach a far wider audience. I've also noticed a trend with folks wanting more email marketing as well.
